24-hour zine challenge!

It’s 30th July which means that International Zine Month 2011 is almost over. A perfect thing to do for zinesters to do in International Zine Month, of course, is to send Zineswap copies of any issues they don’t have already… All through July while I’ve been (sparsely) blogging  for this site, I’ve been meaning to post about something that *everyone* should do in International Zine Month, and that is… _=-~’*!\.The Twenty-Four Hour Zine Challenge.//!*’~-=_
Every year in July this is a challenge thrown down to zinesters and wannabe zinesters everywhere to… you’ve surely guessed it by now… get a zine made in 24 hours. Now, given how late I’ve already left it, I was going to cheat a bit and let my 24 hours be up at sometime on Monday… but I just read on the site’s complete list of rules the words “The 24 hour zine must be completed by July 31st, 2010” … which means I have to start it… about now!! [big thanks to Emma Jane Falconer for alerting me to the idea that there might actually be parameters to this challenge…] If you’re reading this shortly after I posted it and want to join in, leave a comment and get cracking. If you’re reading this any time and already made one, leave a comment and well done! If you’re reading this after July 31st 2011… what the hell, make one anyway… Again, full list of rules is here - wish me luck! Needless to say I’ll come back and post my results, once whatever I get done, is done.
